All who do not have time to drive to the countryside or it does not pay off financially can buy products that come directly from farmers on farmer's markets, also called greenmarkets where farmers daily or weekly sell their products according to season.

The products that are for sale on farmer's markets are usually prepared one day before they are offered to costumers and since the majority of products come from the local farmers, the products bought on farmer's markets have similar advantages for costumer as if they were bought directly at farmers. However, in compare with traditional purchase at farmers buying on farmer's market has as important advantages: we can buy all we need, from meat to milk products and from fruits to vegetables, at one place and save a lot of time and energy, while majority of farmer's markets is also strict about quality of products.

Besides the traditional products, farmer's markets often also offer organic food and products which are characterized for being grown without use of conventional pesticides, insecticides, artificial fertilizers and other chemicals, while livestock has been reared without use of food additives and growth hormones. However, to be sure that we are really buying an organic food we should ask the farmer or salesperson to show us organic certification.

Products which come directly from farmers can be also bought in specialized stores, while farmers also started to offer their products online.
